Scratch-made breakfast and lunch since 1987

A family-run diner in Sugar House serving scratch-made comfort food. Everything from the pancake batter to the pot roast is made in-house every morning.

Scratch kitchen

Pancakes, gravy, pie crust — all made in-house every morning, nothing from a bag.

Family-run

Owned and operated by the Hollis family for three generations.

Local sourcing

Eggs, dairy, and produce from Utah farms we know by name.

Three generations at the griddle

The Copper Kettle opened in 1987 with six stools and one waffle iron. Today the Hollis family still works the line every morning, flipping pancakes to the same recipe grandma taped inside the pantry door.

We're not fancy. We're here early, we make everything ourselves, and we remember your usual.
